Setting up Wi-Fi calling on iOS and Android is straightforward and easy. Follow the steps below to enable it:

To activate Wi-Fi Calling, you need to be within the US in a coverage area

iOS

To set up Wi-Fi calling on most iOS, follow these steps:

  1. On your iPhone, go to Settings > Cellular.
  2. If your iPhone has Dual SIM, choose a line (below Cellular Plans).
  3. Tap Wi-Fi Calling, then turn on Wi-Fi Calling on This iPhone.
  4. Enter or confirm your address for emergency services.

Your iPhone is now ready for Wifi calls

Android

To set up Wifi Calling on most Android phones:

  1. Go to Wireless and Network Settings
  2. Select More or More Networks
  3. Find Wifi Calling and turn it on
  4. Enter or confirm your address for emergency services

Your phone is now ready for Wifi calls. You’ll want to configure your Wifi preferences for calling now.

Setting Wifi Calling Preferences

To set your calling preferences:

  1. Click on Wifi Calling (not the green slider button)
  2. Click on Connection preferences
  3. Choose from one of the options below:
    • Wifi preferred – this will make the phone connect to Wifi when cellular and Wifi are both available
    • Cellular preferred – this will make the phone connect to cellular when there are both cellular and Wifi
    • Never use cellular network – Your phone will only use Wifi networks for calls. 

GSM 5G

To enable Wi-Fi Calling on the GSM 5G network:

  1. Sign in to your dashboard.
  2. Click on the phone line you want to activate Wi-Fi Calling for.
  3. Click on Wi-Fi Calling, under Line Settings.

  1. Enter the e911 address. (The e911 address is the address used to send to Fire / Police / other Emergency Services teams when a 911 call is placed. It is a requirement to provide an accurate address to ensure a timely response in case of an emergency.)

  1. Click on "Enable Wifi Calling".
  2. Once done, you can go to your phone's settings and turn ON the "Wi-Fi Calling" toggle and you should be all set.
