How can I switch between Warp 5G & GSM 5G?

You can easily transfer your phone number from Warp 5G to GSM 5G, or vice versa, by following the steps below. Just note that Warp 5G and GSM 5G have different partner carriers, so if you're switching, make sure you have the right coverage on the network of your preference. Here's how you can go about transferring (Porting) a number internally between Warp 5G and GSM 5G.

  1. Contact support on chat and ask for the Account number and PIN against your number. This information is unique to each phone line and cannot be found anywhere on the account dashboard
  2. Verify that your phone is compatible with the other network. You can use the compatibility checker built into the networks page, or better yet, ask us!
  3. If you don't have a Starter kit, you can order from here (It includes both, Warp 5G and GSM 5G SIM cards)
  4. Any unused plans will be lost as part of the transfer
  5. When you're ready, go to the "Add a new line" option on your dashboard
  6. To activate on a physical SIM card, select "I'M READY TO ACTIVATE" or If you prefer eSIM, choose 'Activate instantly with eSIM.'

To transfer to a physical SIM card:

  1. Enter the IMEI and SIM card number(if transferring to Warp 5G)
  2. Choose Transfer My Phone Number
  3. Choose US Mobile (GSM 5G) or US Mobile (Wap 5G) as the case may be
  4. Enter your Account Number
  5. Enter your Password or PIN
  6. Click Continue
  7. Continue with the rest of the activation steps

To transfer to an eSIM:

  1. Once selected, you'll be provided with a list of eSIM-compatible devices to verify if your device is supported. If your device is mentioned in our list of compatible devices, select 'Continue with activation.
  2. Choose US Mobile (GSM 5G) or US Mobile (Warp 5G) as the case may be
  3. Enter the Digital IMEI (if transferring to Warp 5G)
  4. Choose Transfer My Phone Number
  5. Enter your phone number
  6. Enter your Account Number
  7. Enter your Password or PIN
  8. Click Continue
  9. Continue with the rest of the activation steps

Once you've completed the activation process, you'll be able to see the status of your port-in request. The line will also show up in your account:

Clicking More Details will show you the current status of your port request:

We'll email you when your port completes or if we need more information. Feel free to continue using your old SIM card in the meantime. Once you receive the go-ahead, replace the old SIM with the new one or scan the QR code on the eSIM and restart your phone.
