Call Blocking

Taha Siddiqui Updated by Taha Siddiqui

Call Blocking refers to the ability to block specific numbers from calling you.

We don't yet offer the ability to block unwanted callers at a network level, but you still have many other options. Some are better suited for blacklisting individual numbers, while others work best for identifying and blocking robocalls.

Blocking Individual Phone Numbers

On iOS

Go to the Phone app > Recents. Tap on the blue information icon to the right of the number you want to block. Scroll down and click on 'Block this caller'

For Android

Go to the Phone app > Recents. Long press on the number, and choose block. On some Android phones, you’ll also be given the option to report the number as spam.

Flagging Spam Callers

Spam ID

On our Warp 5G network, we offer a Spam Caller ID feature. This will notify you whenever you get a call from any spam number.

You can simply get in touch with us via chat, email, or call and we can enable the feature for you.

How To Block Spam Calls

Here are a few options you can consider to block spam callers:

There are several services to block spam callers. Some free, others require a subscription. TrueCallerHiyaRoboKillerNomorobo are notable examples.

Note: US Mobile doesn't have anything to do with these services. These are just examples for your convenience.

  • Latest software updates over Android devices come with standard spam protection built-in.
  • Google's latest Pixel devices allow you to block spam callers through "Filter spam calls" option. The "Call Screen" feature automatically screens all incoming calls from unknown numbers and there's also an option to screen and decline robocalls or silently decline spam calls.
  • Similarly, newer smartphones of the Samsung Galaxy series automatically flag suspected spam calls right in the phone app as they come in. The company calls this feature Smart Call. You can also enable features like Caller ID, Spam Protection. These Block spam and scam calls, and even block unknown/private numbers.

Remember! These systems aren’t perfect.

  • Use do-not-disturb mode only to allow calls from your contacts

This is a pretty drastic measure! Unless the only people who call you are on your contacts list, you're almost certainly going to miss a few genuine calls.
