Customer: Can I decide which phone number I get?

Please use the following canned responses:
MDN Swap for Chats
MDN Swap for Emails

Answer: We’re extremely sorry, but we cannot issue you a specific number or even a specific area code. The reason is that the numbers we provide are completely random and are system generated, depending on the ZIP code which you provide to us.

You can provide us the ZIP code with which you hope that your area code is associated with. Depending on how many area codes come under that one ZIP code, the system will randomly select an area code and it will issue you a new number.

Customer: Can I change my phone number if I don't like it?

Answer: Yes, you can change your number on both our networks. As the new number is generated completely randomly by our system, we can not promise a specific number, so unless there is an extremely genuine reason, we won't change the number for more than once. However, you should know that:

  • The number changing process is irreversible, meaning you will not be able to go back to the previous number.
  • If you're changing your number on account of spam calls, robot calls, or threats, we cannot guarantee that a new number will fix that issue.

If you understand and agree to the above, reach out to us via chat, call or email and request a new number. You'll receive a confirmation email letting you know when the change has taken effect, at that point you should restart your phone for the new number to start working.

Customer: Will I lose my number if I don't pay the bill?

Answer: A number on GSM LTE might be disconnected automatically 30 days after service expiry/cancellation. On Super LTE, a number will be disconnected at the conclusion of 50 days post service expiry/cancellation. After that period, number may or may not stay with us. Unfortunately, we can't guarantee that your number will stay with US Mobile after the specified period.

You can ‘Snooze’ your line to keep it in service to avoid the risk of losing the number for $2.98/month. This involves setting up the AutoPay without any plans, thus letting the line be renewed automatically every 30 days with just the monthly service fee and taxes.

How did we do?
