Check your SIM

Check if you’re using the correct SIM card: Super LTE (Black SIM) and not a GSM LTE (White SIM) one.

LTE Status RS

OTA still pending. The customer will need to make sure data roaming is off and restart their phone, multiple times if need be and perform manual troubleshooting. Generally the phone will display No Service during this time but it’s not necessary. Partial service may be available.

LTE Status CN

Means OTA activation has completed and services should be usable. Sometimes, LTE status may change to CN but one or more services could be non-functional or the phone might still say No Service.

LTE Status RF

OTA activation failure. Very rare. Only been observed on a couple occasions. Service still seems to function, but there might be problems with one or more services, like calling or voicemail.

How to do OTA reconfiguration

  1. Remove the black colored Super LTE SIM card.
  2. Insert the white colored GSM LTE SIM card.
  3. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings (the iPhone should automatically restart after this).
Note: This will erase all the saved Wi-Fi passwords. Please tell this to the customer.
  4. Go to Settings > Cellular and turn ON Cellular data here.
  5. Go to Settings > Cellular > Cellular data options.
  6. Check Voice and Data - Make sure it is set to LTE and VoLTE is turned ON.
  7. Check Roaming - Make sure all the roaming options are turned OFF.
  8. Go to Settings > Cellular > Cellular data networks > Scroll down and hit "Reset Settings".
This will remove all the filled APN fields in the Cellular data networks.
  9. If the APN fields still show info, then manually tap on each field and remove the info.
  10. Once the entire Cellular data networks screen is empty, press the home button to head to the home screen.
  11. Remove the white colored GSM LTE SIM card > Insert the black colored Super LTE SIM card and restart the iPhone.
  12. Once the iPhone is turned back on, test the service and it should work.
  13. If it still does not work, please guide the customer to install the Unlockit APN.

  1. Insert the white GSM LTE sim card
  2. Reset APN to default:
    1. Go to Settings > Connections / Network & Internet > Mobile Networks / Cellular networks  > Access Point Names.
    2. Tap the menu button (usually 3 stacked dots).
    3. click Reset to Default to reset the APN.
  3. Reset Network Settings (options may vary depending on OS version):
    1. Please go to Settings > Connections > General Management > Reset > Reset network settings.
  4. Turn off Wi-Fi and turn on Mobile data
  5. Power off the phone and wait at least 60 seconds then reinsert Super LTE sim card and power on the phone
